Taking Vengeance is a story by M.K Theodoratus about the violence committed against the half half-elfin people on the Marches of the Far Isles. The story is mainly seen through the eyes of the elf Mariah and her husband, the human Ashton. Love may conquer all, yet hate can unexpectedly arrive to tear apart their family.
When their child, grandchild, and son-in-law find themselves caught in an ambush carried out by hateful Trestemontan invaders, only the daughter, Norerah, survives. Her angry family is left with no choice but to try and Take Vengeance on the criminals responsible for this atrocity.
This story is very swift, and to the point; yet the motivations for the characters are clear and well thought out. It is hard not to root for their success when these parents move to right the wrongs that were thrown upon their family.
